I have a brilliant idea for a Death Note fan-fic. It's going to be a three parter.

Part one is going to be Mello and Matt centric, part two will be L and Light centric, and part three will be shared by all.

I haven't exactly figured out the end yet, but I have a basic plot.

ROUGH PLOT

The children at Whammy’s are given cases to prove their brilliance. The quickest to solve the tough case earns points, and points earn them a chance to be presented in some form to L in accordance to approval.

Mello and Matt work together on the grave digger case and wind up burried alive. L and Light work to solve the case.

I wrote a short story today, and I really like the beginning. The ending, not so much. Any input would be great.

It's sort of dark, and it's supposed to be a play on vanity.

I finally began writing a GazettE, Aoi x Uruha, fan-fiction!

I've been trying to write one that was worth reading for so long, and I finally believe I've gotten it right! It's called Vanillas.

Rating: R

Status: Ongoing

Summary:  Uruha cannot stop himself from falling into a pit of lust, deceit, homicide, and perhaps love with Aoi, who both fascinates and frightens his coworker with odd conversations and comments. Theirs is a heated affair, rudely interrupted by murderous accusations.

My college is having a poetry slam in a few days. The pieces don't have to be "professional," so I was thinking of reading this one.

This mess of a poem stemmed from how I've been feeling lately; utterly annoyed at the profanity I hear every other second.

It's not that I look down on everyone who might slip a curse word every-once-in-a-while...I just dislike the use of curse words over and over and over and...you get the point.

The people that breathe curses every other breath annoy me.
You know the type. They feel like all they can come up with is a load of vile pus. It's completely unnecessary.

I swear, my poetry doesn't rhyme for crap.
But that's okay. I still have fun writing it.

Remember the Poprocks candy? The kind that popped around in your mouth and then went out with a sizzle?
I don't know if it's around anymore, but I used to love it when I was a kid.

I don't recall my initial reaction to eating it, but I had to write different things on the 5 senses a while back in my creative writing class. Here's the one for sound. I think.

I got an A, so I must have done something right.

Well, the last paper I wrote in my ENG class wasn't a horribly difficult one. My instructor didn't even want the class to cite anything. I think she just wanted a paper that showed what WE, each individual student, knew about the subjects chosen.

I chose to compare and contrast writers and actors. They are indeed so very alike and yet one does so much more than the other, receiving little credit most of the time.

The conclusion is really weak, but I was having a tough time getting the paper finished in the few days we had, anyway. I tend to fret over every little punctuation mark...and well...everything. Still the essay could have been better. However, here is what I handed in. It hasn't been graded yet. Hopefully I'll get another A. So far, my lowest grade has been a 95. I'm kind of worried about the conclusion knocking the grade down.

Here's to hoping it doesn't hurt my grade much.

EDIT:
Grade received: 95 ( A )

Oh. And...

I strongly advise anyone who is thinking of using my essay as their own to...NOT do it. It's not like I can do anything to stop you; however, if your teacher finds out...Buddy, you're screwed. And if I know who you are, you're even more screwed.

Plus, it's just unfair to me, the person who actually wrote it. I spend a lot of time on my papers. Be respectful.

Mama gather up the casket, I've got an idea!

But seriously, I think my writer's block is finally over. Thank GOODNESS!

Here's the blue prints:

WARNING! This idea may contain spoilers for some.

I'm going to write a Death Note fan-fiction. I think I'm going to call it (but I'm not positive, yet) "Bars."

It's going to be a sort of retake on Death Note, or at least the ending and mid ending. Right before L died and up. I won't give out too many hints because that would ruin the story plus there are idea thieves out there. And this idea is a doosie. My mind must have been cooking the plot up for a while without my knowing.

The idea of the fic in general is that Raito is now dead, and L is thought to be dead but is actually living, while Near is running L's namesake quite well until havoc ensues in which he is incapable of handling it. And guess who decides to step in? But there will be a huge problem, and it's not that L is supposed to be dead.

In the meantime, I'm getting a sort of prequel going. That's going to be a collection of letters written by the supposedly dead L. But, as he states in letter one, "If you are reading these letters, I am dead."
22nd-Mar-2008 11:06 pm - Rest in Pieces Originality
I wrote this really lame attempt at poetry the other day while I was sitting in my math class, looking around at all the, what I think of as, fake people. You know the type.

So then I started thinking about how almost everyone in America is the same. The I thought almost every nation has that problem. And then I thought of this:

Oh man. I'm feeling so tired from all of these papers I've been having to write in my ENG class.
I mean, I live for writing, but only if I get to do so ON MY OWN TIME AND NOT EVERY FRIKIN WEEK ONE RIGHT AFTER THE OTHER I MEAN COME ON!
